Lubricant audit scope

Audits cover polymer fiber lubricants used in high-speed weaving. We assess viscosity, film strength, and application uniformity. We do not evaluate cosmetic or personal care products.

Tensile testing protocol

All tensile evaluations follow our thermal stress framework. Yarns are conditioned at specified temperatures before breaking strength is measured. We report both peak load and elongation at break.

Coating evaluation criteria

Anti-friction coatings for heavy looms are compared based on wear resistance, coefficient of friction, and adhesion to base metal. We do not rank coatings for non-industrial uses.

Boundary conditions and exclusions

Our audits are strictly limited to industrial textile machinery and synthetic yarns. We do not provide services for natural fibers, food-grade lubricants, or any application involving human contact. Reports are valid only for the specific batch and machine configuration tested. Any extrapolation to other conditions requires a separate audit.

"Heavy loom" refers to weaving machines with a working width above 190 cm and rapier or projectile insertion.

"Thermal stress" is defined as exposure to temperatures above 60°C for at least 30 minutes before testing.

"Protective coating" means a surface treatment applied to loom components to reduce friction and wear.
